INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONSERVATION AND MAINTENANCE

Before wearing shoes, check the closure and the integrity of the sole. Footwear must be cleaned with soft bristle brush and water. You should NEVER use substances like alcohol, methylethykelton, thinner, gasoline, oil or any other type of chemical agent to clean. These substances could damage the building material's composition.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

It is recommended that you carefully inspect shoes before use, and not use them if they show any particular sign of obvious wear or malfunction until the restoration of full functionally. In particular you should check:
- The proper functioning of the closure and the system of rapid unthreading (if any).
- The thickness of the sole and reliefs.
- For footwear with metatarsal protection, the presence of this on both shoes.

SHOE STORAGE

Due to many factors (temperature, humidity, etc.)it's difficult to determine with certainty the duration of shoe's storage. In general, for shoes made entirely of polyurethane or with polyurethane bottom is conceivable a period of three years. For other types of footwear it is conceivable for a maximum of ten years.

INFORMATION FOR EXTRACTIBLE PLANTAR

If, when you buy, the shoe has a removable plantar provided by the manufacturer, ensures that shoe's performances have been determined by conducting tests on shoes accompanied by such a removable plantar.

If it is necessary to replace the removable plantar, it must be replaced with a similar one supplied by the manufacturer. If, when you buy, the shoe hasn't a removable plantar, is guaranteed that shoe's performances have been determined by conducting tests on shoes without such a removable plantar.

If it is used a different pull plantar than the one originally provided by the manufacturer, is necessary to check the electrical properties of the combination shoe/removable plantar.

INFORMATION FOR NON CONDUCTIVE AND NOT ANTISTATIC SHOES

These shoes may not provide adequate protection against electric shock because they only induce a resistance between the foot and the ground and also, the electric resistance of this type of footwear can be modified significantly by using them, by contamination and by moisture. These kind of shoes must not be used when it is necessary to minimize electrostatic charges.

INFORMATION FOR ANTISTATIC SHOES

Antistatic footwear should be used when it is necessary to minimize the accumulation of electrostatic charges making them disappear, avoiding the risk of fire, for example flammable vapors and in cases where the risk of electrical shock coming from an electrical appliance or from other elements under voltage is not completely eliminated.

It should be noted however that the antistatic shoes cannot guarantee adequate protection against electric shock as they only induce a resistance between the foot and the ground.
If the risk of electric shock is not completely eliminated, it is essential to use additional measures.

These measures, together with any additional evidence listed below should be part of periodic inspections of the program of prevention of accidents at work. Experience has shown that, for anti static purposes, the path of discharge through a product must have, under normal conditions, an electrical resistance lower than 1,000 MO at any time during the life of the product.

A value of 100 MO is defined as the lower limit of resistance of the product when new, to provide some protection against dangerous electric shock or against fires when an electric appliance shows defects when working with voltages up to 250V.

However, under certain conditions, users should be aware that the protection provided by the shoes could be ineffective and it is necessary to use other methods to protect the customer at any time.
The electric resistance of this kind of shoes can be modified by flection, by contamination or by moisture. This type of footwear won't play his role if worn and used in humid places.

Consequently, we must ensure that the product is able to perform its function to dissipate electrostatic charges and to provide some protection during his lifetime.
We recommend the user to perform a test of electrical resistance in place and used it at frequent and regular intervals.

If shoes are used in conditions such that the material which forms the soles is contaminated, people should always check the electrical properties of shoes before entering a risk zone.

While using antistatic shoes, the resistance of the soil must not cancel the protection provided by the shoe.
While using, you shouldn't put no isolating element between the insole of the footwear and the foot of the customer. If another insole is introduced between the insole and the foot, you must check the electrical properties between shoe/insole.
